Annual concrete global consumption is about 33 billion ton per year in 2016 as reported by ISO/TC 071 Strategic Business Plan dated 14 April 2016.

The global LWAC market was valued at USD 37.2 Billion in 2018 and is expected to reach USD 56.7 Billion by the year 2026, at a CAGR of 5.4% as reported www.reportsanddata.com.

In Malaysia 32.8 million cubic metre of concrete was used in 2016 according to the Construction and Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia.

According to the Ministry of National Development, Singapore, average about 11.5 million cubic metre of concrete was used in Singapore in the last 5 years.

Based on 70% of aggregate by volume for concrete, the above translate to 34.8 million cubic metre of aggregate required in Malaysia annually. The demand of aggregate in Singapore is about 12.2 million ton annually.
